The Global Exhibition Trying To Boost Tourism
In recent times we keep hearing good news about Berlin, and this is no exception. From mid-October, the German capital became a temporary member of the renowned service network “Best Cities Global Alliance” (Spanish: global alliance of the best cities).
The news was announced on October 13 at IMEX America, a global exhibition seeks to encourage tourism, meetings and events. The reason: Berlin impresses with its hotels and locations offering ultra-modern transport service and excellent connections, professional marketing and promoting it as a good destination for conventions.
“We spent a year working to become part of this powerful network,” said executive director visit Berlin, BurkhardKieker. Visit Berlin is responsible for promoting the city as a tourist destination.
Among the members of the network “Best Cities” are ten major destinations for international conventions, namely, Singapore, Melbourne, Vancouver, Houston and Dubai. The convention bureaus in these cities share information and plan joint marketing campaigns to distant markets. They also focus on developing new markets.
“Our membership will help us attract more international conventions to Berlin,” said Kiel, happy for what constitutes a new success for visit Berlin and, therefore, for the city of Berlin as a whole.
